At least 21 people were killed and 48 wounded in Russian artillery strikes on Ukraine's southern Kherson region, hitting a railway station, a crossing, a house, a hardware store, a grocery supermarket, and a gas station. The strikes came as Ukraine prepares for a spring offensive. The city of Kherson, which was captured by Russian troops in the first days of the February 2022 invasion and remained under Russian occupation until November 2022, is located near the front line in southern Ukraine. Ukrainian authorities announced a 58-hour curfew in the city starting on Friday.
