Confusion and Chaos: Russian Military Actions in Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Russian occupation authorities initially claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had taken control of Piatykhatky in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, but later changed their statement and said that the attack was repelled. The collaborator and so-called "governor" of the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast complained that Ukraine gaining a foothold in Piatykhatky could lead to an offensive on Vasylivka. As of noon on 18 June, the Armed Forces reported no progress in Piatykhatky.
