Advancing Ukrainian Tanks Approach Mariupol in Urozhaine

Ukrainian tanks, reportedly belonging to the marine corps' 35th Brigade, have advanced into Urozhaine, a key obstacle on the path to liberating the Russian-occupied city of Mariupol. Supported by US-made Joint Direct Attack Munitions, the Ukrainian air force has been providing close air support to the ground forces. The concentration of Ukrainian marine brigades along the Mokri Yaly River Valley represents both an opportunity and a risk, as it maximizes the chances of achieving breakthroughs but also requires rest and refit periods. While half of Urozhaine has been freed from Russian control, the Ukrainians must continue their advance through several settlements to reach Mariupol.
