Portuguese Drivers Lead the Way in Climate Activism, Demonstrating Effective Action

Portuguese drivers grew frustrated with climate activists blocking a busy highway during rush hour traffic in Lisbon. The drivers took matters into their own hands and swiftly moved the activists out of the street. The protest, organized by the group Climáximo, aimed to target the nearby energy company Galp. The activists accuse companies like Galp of "genocide" and believe that governments and corporations are waging a coordinated act of violence against people and the planet. The disruptive tactics used by Climáximo are similar to those employed by UK-based climate activists, Extinction Rebellion.
