A kindergarten teacher from Wuhan, China, identified only as Huang, resigned from her job after earning between 400,000 yuan to 500,000 yuan ($57,550 to $71,900) from a single livestream, which was reportedly more than 10 years' worth of her annual salary. Huang, who has over 4 million followers on Douyin, signed a contract with a talent management company and earned over 2 million yuan ($288,000) for her first three livestreams.
