Two pilots of a Batik Air flight from Kendari to Jakarta fell asleep simultaneously for 28 minutes, causing the plane to veer off course. The incident occurred when the pilot in command asked for rest, and both pilots ended up falling asleep. Despite the mishap, the flight landed safely in Jakarta with no injuries to the 153 passengers and four flight attendants. The report did not name the pilots but stated that they were both Indonesian and had passed health checks. The second in command had cited lack of proper rest due to caring for one-month-old twins and moving into a new home the day before the flight.
