Two pilots of Indian airline SpiceJet have been grounded after a photo of them drinking coffee and eating pastries mid-flight in the cockpit went viral on social media. The photo showed a dangerously placed cup of coffee with no lid on the plane's thrust lever controls. The airline has taken disciplinary action against the pilots and is investigating the incident. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation, India's regulatory body, is also looking into the matter. Indian aviation rules allow pilots to have food and drink in the cockpit but under strict guidelines, including the use of cups with lids.
