Asiana Airlines Faces Backlash Over Alleged Lies About "Heroic" Flight Attendant Incident

A viral picture of an Asiana Airlines flight attendant using her body to block an open plane door mid-flight has been revealed as taken out of context. Asiana Airlines had originally stated that the picture was taken while the plane was moving, but it was actually taken after the flight had landed and the situation had been resolved. Additionally, Asiana Airlines lied about another aspect of the incident, claiming they immediately transferred the man who opened the door to police, when in reality the flight crew had no idea who had opened the door and the man was arrested only after he asked an Asiana employee at the airport if it was illegal to open the emergency door.
