Pope Francis calls on artists to inspire true beauty and cultural dialogue.

Pope Francis addressed world-renowned artists in the Sistine Chapel for the 50th Anniversary of the Inauguration of the Vatican Museums’ Collection of Modern Art, reminding them that true beauty inspires the desire for God and renders glory to Him. He thanked them for their works and expressed his hope that they "prove worthy of the women and men of this earth, and render glory to God." The Pope urged artists to reject artificial beauty and instead act as a conscience critical of society. He also called on them to be interpreters of the poor's silent plea.
