Troyano Arquitetura's Lagoon House: A Modern Masterpiece.

Troyano Arquitetura has designed a simple, single-story house for a couple of university professors without children on the edge of a lake in Osório, Brazil. The house features load-bearing walls with a beam/upper brace and an exposed panel slab for the interior of the building. The material chosen for the walls was solid brick, which is abundant in the region, and all external walls are double to contribute to thermal inertia. The absence of coverings exposes material decisions and the constructive system, with the bricks visible to the outside only in the area that marks the access.
