Ermida House, designed by architect Carlos Castanheira, is a restoration project located near the Douro River in Portugal. The house consists of two volumes, Casa de Cima and Casa da Ermida de Baixo, with the former being outside the classified area. The project aimed to transform the ruins into a comfortable living space while preserving the original morphology of the old house. The materials used include granite, wood, slate slabs, and birch plywood. The house now offers a gathering place for family and friends, blending harmoniously with the natural surroundings.
