Tragic Collapse: 10 Lives Lost in China School Gym Roof Incident

Ten people were killed and one person remains trapped after the concrete roof of a school gymnasium collapsed in Qiqihar, China. Initially, 15 people were trapped, but 14 individuals have been rescued so far. The collapse was caused by the illegal placement of perlite, a mineral with high water content, on the roof during construction. Heavy rain in the region contributed to the collapse. An investigation is underway, and those responsible for the construction have been taken into custody.
