Finnish footbridge collapse injures dozens, mostly children.

A temporary pedestrian bridge collapsed in Espoo, Finland, injuring 27 people, including many schoolchildren. The bridge was part of a redevelopment project and had plywood sidings and walkways covered in metal. Some locals had complained about the safety of the temporary bridges. Most of the injuries were to wrists, ankles, and thighs, and everyone who needed surgery was operated on within three hours.
