British BASE Jumper Fatally Falls from Thailand Condominium as Parachute Fails

A 33-year-old British BASE jumper, Nathy Odinson, died in Thailand after his parachute failed to open when he jumped from a 32-story condominium in Pattaya. Odinson, who had been involved in selling parachute kits for about 10 years, was identified by his father. Thai police confirmed that a parachute backpack was still attached to Odinson's body and said the parachute likely malfunctioned. An investigation is ongoing to determine if Odinson had used the same space to parachute before, and CCTV footage was recovered.
