"PM Modi Inaugurates UAE's First Hindu Temple and Signs Trade Pact"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first-ever Hindu temple in the UAE, the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) temple, located in Abu Mureikhah. The temple is spread over 27 acres of land, constructed on a plot gifted by the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The inauguration is part of the 12-day 'Festival of Harmony', celebrating the temple's construction that began in December 2019 and is estimated to have cost around 400 million United Arab Emirates dirhams.
