YouTube is now refreshing the like and view counts of videos in real-time on both the web version and Android app. The counters are updated with a small animation even when the video is paused, and they are also refreshed in the background, allowing users to see the latest count when switching between tabs or apps. However, the feature is currently only widely available on the web version, with no option to turn it off.
