Xiaomi introduces HyperOS, integrating smartphones and cars

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced the release of its new operating system, HyperOS, which will be available to consumers on October 31. The company aims to develop its ecosystem with the upcoming launch of its own car. Xiaomi's CEO, Lei Jun, stated that the car will be released in the first half of next year, but did not specify whether it will be electric. The new operating system, based on Linux and Xiaomi's self-developed Xiaomi Vela system, offers improved processing speed, security, and integration between smartphones, cars, and laptops. Xiaomi's expansion into appliances and consumer electronics now accounts for about 22% of its overall revenue.
