"Google One VPN to be Discontinued This Year, Pixel VPN Stays"

Google plans to discontinue the Google One VPN service due to underutilization, while Pixel owners and Google Fi subscribers will still have access to their included VPN services. The company cited a focus on providing the most in-demand features and benefits for its decision, and reassured owners of Pixel 7 series phones and newer that a separate VPN service, called Pixel VPN, will still be available for five years. The VPN included with Google Fi cellular plans is also unaffected, but users reliant on the Google One VPN will need to switch to another provider.
