Blackmagic's Full-Frame Cinema Camera 6K and Free iOS App Revolutionize Filmmaking

Blackmagic Design has introduced its first full-frame camera, the Cinema Camera 6K, which features a 24.6-megapixel sensor, shoots up to 6K, and has dual native ISO for excellent low-light performance. Unlike previous models, it uses the L-Mount alliance and is compatible with lenses from Panasonic, Leica, Sigma, and other partners. Designed for cinema shooting, it lacks continuous autofocus and built-in stabilization. The camera offers advantages such as shallower depth of field and better low-light performance, with 13 stops of dynamic range and dual ISO performance up to 25,600. It can shoot in various resolutions and frame rates, and comes with a bright HDR touchscreen for monitoring. Priced at $2,595, it is the most affordable full-frame cinema-specific camera available. Blackmagic Design also released the Blackmagic Camera iPhone app for cinema-like camera controls and collaboration.
