Detroit Tigers' left-hander Tarik Skubal has been unanimously awarded the American League Cy Young Award, marking the third consecutive year the winner has been a unanimous choice. Skubal led AL pitchers with an 18-4 record, a 2.39 ERA, and 228 strikeouts, achieving the "triple crown" of pitching. This is the sixth time a Detroit pitcher has won the award, joining notable names like Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer. Emmanuel Clase of the Cleveland Guardians finished third, the highest for a relief pitcher since 2008.
