NFL Legend Dick Butkus Dies at 80

Dick Butkus, the legendary Chicago Bears linebacker and Pro Football Hall of Famer, has passed away at the age of 80. Known for his fierce playing style and intimidating presence on the field, Butkus was an eight-time Pro Bowler, five-time All-Pro, and a member of two All-Decade teams. He was also a strong advocate for clean sports and was involved in broadcasting, acting, and endorsements after retiring from football. Butkus' passing comes after the death of his 1965 draft classmate and fellow Hall of Famer, Gale Sayers, in 2020.
