Jewell Loyd Makes History at 2023 WNBA All-Star Game

Jewell Loyd of the Seattle Storm sets a WNBA All-Star Game scoring record with 31 points, winning the MVP award and leading Team Stewart to a 143-127 victory over Team Wilson. Loyd's performance included hitting a record 10 3-pointers, dedicating the win to her parents on their 40th wedding anniversary. The victory also set an All-Star record for Team Stewart, while Kelsey Plum of the Las Vegas Aces tied her own record with 30 points. Brittney Griner of the Phoenix Mercury, who missed last season due to detainment in Russia, received a warm welcome and showcased her skills with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
