Jets Trade WR Denzel Mims to Lions, Ending Tenure

The New York Jets are trading wide receiver Denzel Mims to the Detroit Lions, along with a seventh-round pick, in exchange for a conditional sixth-round pick. Mims, who had publicly requested a trade, will get a fresh start in Detroit after a disappointing tenure with the Jets. The Jets, who have high expectations this season following the acquisition of Aaron Rodgers, were reportedly going to cut Mims if a trade didn't happen. The Lions, considered favorites to win the NFC North, add Mims as another option behind their No. 1 wideout, Amon-Ra St. Brown.
