Jena Antonucci became the first female trainer to win a Triple Crown race as Arcangelo won the Belmont Stakes. The three-year-old gray colt won the $1.5m contest in 2:29.13, holding off a heart-pounding challenge from a pack of four closers led by Forte. Antonucci started as a thoroughbred trainer 13 years ago and was the 11th woman to send out a horse for the final jewel of the Triple Crown.
