Brandon Aiyuk Requests Trade from 49ers

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has requested a trade after the team reportedly refused to engage in contract negotiations since May. Despite Aiyuk's request, the 49ers have no intention of trading him, as confirmed by ESPN's Adam Schefter. Aiyuk's agent, who is a close friend of 49ers GM John Lynch, believes the wide receiver's market value has increased following recent high-value contracts for other receivers. The 49ers, however, are focused on their current wide receiver group and future salary-cap implications, making it unlikely Aiyuk will be traded this season.
