Angels Bolster Roster with Cron and Grichuk Trade

The Los Angeles Angels continue to build around Shohei Ohtani in their playoff push by acquiring outfielder Randal Grichuk and first baseman C.J. Cron from the Rockies. In exchange, the Rockies receive right-handed pitcher Jake Madden and left-handed pitcher Mason Albright. Cron, a former All-Star, is hitting .260 with 11 homers and 32 RBI this season, while Grichuk is hitting .308 with eight homers and 27 RBI. Both players are expected to have significant roles in the Angels' lineup. The Angels are currently four games back from the final AL wild-card spot and have a challenging schedule ahead.
