American Caver Rescued After 12 Days Trapped in Turkish Cave

American cave explorer Mark Dickey has been successfully rescued after being trapped in a deep cave in Turkey for over nine days due to illness. The rescue operation involved lifting Dickey, who was stretcher-bound, in multiple phases from a camp about 3,400 feet below the surface. Dickey's parents expressed their gratitude for the extensive rescue effort, and he is now receiving medical treatment. The cave rescue, described as one of the largest in the world, involved blasting parts of the cave system with explosives to facilitate the rescue. Dickey's fiancée remained by his side throughout the ordeal.
