"Namibia Mourns the Passing of President Hage Geingob at 82"

Namibian President Hage Geingob has passed away at 82 after undergoing treatment for cancer. Known as a liberation struggle icon and the chief architect of Namibia's constitution, Geingob had a history of health issues, including surviving prostate cancer and undergoing aortic surgery. His death comes less than three weeks after the announcement of his cancer treatment. Namibia, set to hold elections in November, will see its first female head of state if the ruling SWAPO Party's presidential candidate, Nandi-Ndaitwah, is elected.
