Post-Tropical Cyclone Ophelia made landfall in North Carolina as a strong tropical storm, causing widespread flooding, strong winds, and power outages in the mid-Atlantic region. The storm has since been downgraded but is expected to impact the Northeast and New England with heavy rain, strong winds, and more flooding. The remnants of Ophelia are forecasted to continue north along the Interstate 95 corridor, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to Washington, Philadelphia, New York City, Hartford, Providence, and Boston. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected, with higher amounts possible in some areas. Flooding is likely from New Jersey to Massachusetts.
