Two former FirstEnergy executives, Chuck Jones and Michael Dowling, have been indicted in connection with a $60 million bribery scheme in Ohio, failing to surrender as promised. The indictment also includes additional charges against former chair of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, Sam Randazzo. FirstEnergy admitted to its role in the bribery scheme and agreed to pay $230 million in penalties as part of a deferred prosecution agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice.
