Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg has been sentenced to five months in jail for perjury in connection with the civil business fraud trial of Donald Trump. This is his second time behind bars in two years, following a previous stint for his involvement in a tax fraud scheme at the company. The charges were brought by the Manhattan District Attorney's office, which is also prosecuting Trump on separate charges. Weisselberg's sentencing comes ahead of Trump's hush money trial, for which his attorneys have unsuccessfully attempted to delay. Weisselberg admitted to lying about the size of a triplex apartment on Trump's financial statements and has been ordered to serve his sentence at Rikers Island.
