The judge sided with New York state lawyers who argued that Ivanka was a relevant witness in the case, citing her continued ties to businesses in New York and ownership of Manhattan apartments. The trial, brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, accuses the Trump family and executives of misleading investors to secure favorable loans and deals. Ivanka's lawyers had claimed she left the Trump Organization and New York in 2017, but the judge disagreed, stating that she had availed herself of doing business in New York.
