Trump Backtracks, Refuses to Testify in New York Fraud Trial

Former President Donald Trump has announced that he will not testify in his own defense in the $250 million civil fraud trial against him and his company in New York. Trump had been scheduled to testify on Monday but stated that he had already testified to everything and called the trial a "witch hunt." Trump's son, Eric Trump, also backed out of testifying earlier in the week. Trump's decision comes after an accounting expert hired by his defense testified that there was no evidence of fraud in the financial statements being challenged by the New York Attorney General. The trial is entering its final week of testimony.
