Russia Launches Overnight Air Attack on Ukraine

Ukraine has accused Russia of blowing up the Kakhovka dam, which has threatened to flood areas downstream along the Dnipro River. The hydroelectric plant also supplies water to the Crimean peninsula and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, both under Russian control. Russia has denied any involvement. In other developments, air defense systems were engaged in repelling air attacks in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, and Russia launched another wave of airstrikes on Ukrainian cities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised his troops for advances claimed near the devastated city of Bakhmut, while Russia said it had repelled a large-scale attack.
