German-Israeli Hostage Shani Louk Found Dead in Gaza, Israel Confirms

Shani Louk, a 22-year-old German-Israeli woman who was seen being taken to the Gaza Strip during Hamas's October 7 attack, has been confirmed dead by her family. Louk had been at a rave party near the Gaza border when terrorists attacked, killing hundreds of people. Videos circulated online showed Louk lying unconscious in the back of a truck filled with armed men. Her family received a letter stating that a bone from the base of her skull, necessary for survival, had been recovered and genetically tested. Although her body remains in Gaza, her family expressed relief at having closure and knowing that she did not suffer. The Hamas terror group launched the attack, resulting in the deaths of over 1,400 people and the abduction of at least 239 others. German federal prosecutors have launched an investigation into Hamas for suspected kidnapping and murder of German citizens.
