Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan Set to Reboot 'The Karate Kid'

Sony Pictures has announced that a new installment of "The Karate Kid" franchise will go into production soon, featuring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan. Macchio, who played the titular character in the first three movies, and Chan, who took over the role of the martial arts master in the 2010 reboot, appeared in a YouTube video to announce the film and launch a casting search for the next young star. The new movie is set to premiere in theaters on December 13, 2024, marking the 40th anniversary of the original "Karate Kid."
