Paula Abdul and Nigel Lythgoe Reach Settlement in Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Paula Abdul and former "American Idol" producer Nigel Lythgoe have settled a lawsuit in which Abdul accused Lythgoe of sexually assaulting her during her time as a judge on the show and later on "So You Think You Can Dance." The settlement, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, is unconditional but its terms remain undisclosed. Abdul expressed relief at closing this chapter and hopes her experience inspires other women facing similar challenges. Lythgoe, who has denied the allegations, stepped down from his judging role on "So You Think You Can Dance" earlier this year.
