African Leaders' Diplomatic Efforts in Europe and Beyond

African leaders arrived in Russia for a peace mission and met with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a proposal to end the conflict in Ukraine. The diplomatic group includes leaders from Comoros, Senegal, South Africa, and Zambia, as well as the prime minister of Egypt and diplomats from Congo and Uganda. The African leaders previously met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the first leg of their two-prong peace mission. The conflict in Ukraine has negatively affected Africa's economy due to disrupted food and fertilizer imports from the region.
