Woman Convicted of Fatally Poisoning Friend with Eye Drops

A Wisconsin woman, Jessy Kurczewski, has been convicted by a jury of first-degree intentional homicide and theft for fatally poisoning her friend, Lynn Hernan, by giving her a water bottle filled with six bottles of Visine. Kurczewski also stole nearly $300,000 from Hernan. The medical examiner ruled Hernan's death a homicide after discovering the presence of tetrahydrozoline, an ingredient in Visine, in her system. Kurczewski is scheduled to be sentenced on December 7 and faces a mandatory life sentence for the homicide charge.
