Tragic Death of 1-Year-Old at Bronx Day Care Leads to Murder Charges

The owner of a day care center in the Bronx and a neighbor have been charged with murder in the death of a 1-year-old boy who was exposed to opioids at the center. The child, Nicholas Dominici, had just started at the center and appeared to be adjusting well. Three other children at the center were also hospitalized and showed symptoms of opioid exposure. The suspects have been charged with multiple counts, including endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of drugs. The cause of Nicholas's death is still under investigation.
