Tragic Crash Claims Lives of Waltham Police Officer and Utility Worker

A police officer and a utility worker were killed in Waltham, Massachusetts, after being hit by a driver who then stole a police cruiser. The driver, identified as Peter Simon, allegedly hit a Jeep before hitting the victims. Simon continued driving, hitting other vehicles before abandoning his car and fleeing on foot. He then stole a police cruiser at knifepoint but crashed it later and was arrested. Simon is facing charges of manslaughter and armed robbery. The incident is under investigation.
