Tragic Attack on Muslim Boy and Mother Exposes Rising Intolerance

The mother of a 6-year-old Palestinian-American boy, Wadea Al-Fayoume, who was allegedly stabbed to death by their landlord in Chicago, shared her son's last words on Facebook while being treated for her own critical injuries. The landlord, Joseph Czuba, reportedly shouted, "You Muslims must die!" during the attack. The mother posted tributes and videos of her son, describing him as an angel. Prosecutors revealed that Czuba had been listening to talk radio coverage of violence in Israel and believed his Muslim tenants were going to harm him. Czuba appeared in court and will remain in custody until his next court date on October 30.
