The Unveiling of Rex Heuermann: Accused Gilgo Beach Killer's Wife and High School Past

The divorce lawyer representing the estranged wife of accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann is an ex-convict who was once convicted of cocaine possession. Attorney Robert Macedonio, who had his law license revoked as a result of the conviction, was hired by Asa Ellerup to handle her divorce from Heuermann. Macedonio's conviction was reduced to a misdemeanor, allowing him to regain his license. The case sparked a federal probe into the Suffolk County District Attorney's office. Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to six counts of murder for the killings of three women whose bodies were found on Gilgo Beach in 2010.
