Liliana Andrea Araujo, a Venezuelan immigrant, shares her harrowing experience as one of the three victims wounded in the shooting at the State Fair of Texas. Araujo crawled under the benches of the food court, screaming for help after being shot in the back and arm. She managed to call her roommate for assistance and was eventually taken to the hospital. Araujo, who arrived in the U.S. five months ago, questioned why such violence had befallen her after fleeing the violence in Venezuela. The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Cameron Turner, has been charged with aggravated assault.
