Teen Arrested for Operating Ghost Gun Operation at East Harlem Day Care

An 18-year-old has been charged with multiple offenses, including criminal possession of a weapon and manufacturing a gun, after the NYPD discovered ghost guns at an East Harlem day care. The investigation began when a group, including minors, were found purchasing ghost guns and materials for 3D printing firearm components online. Law enforcement found a 3D printer, printed firearms, and ammunition inside the day care facility. The day care was operated out of an apartment belonging to the suspect's mother. The incident highlights concerns about privately made guns, with 290 recovered this year, many of which are 3D-printed.
