River North Nightclub Shut Down by Chicago Police Following Mass Shooting

Blum Restaurant & Bar, a nightclub in Chicago's River North neighborhood, has apparently been shut down by order of the police superintendent after a shooting outside the establishment injured eight people. Surveillance video captured the incident, showing at least one gunman firing shots during a street brawl before calmly walking away. The victims, ranging in age from 23 to 43, were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, with four in critical condition. The closure comes after years of efforts by the local alderman to shut down the nightclub, which has been linked to prior shooting incidents. No one is currently in custody in connection with the shooting.
