Rampant Homeless Killings in LA: Suspect in Custody

A suspect, Jerrid Joseph Powell, has been identified and taken into custody in connection with the killings of three homeless men in Los Angeles. Powell was already in custody for the murder of a county employee earlier in the week. Police matched Powell's car and a handgun found in it to the security video and weapon used in the homeless killings. The motive for the killings is still unknown. The city of Los Angeles is urging homeless individuals not to sleep alone and is opening emergency shelters. Powell, a convicted felon, may have additional victims, and police are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
