Investigators searching the home of suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann used a police dog and ground-penetrating radar over the weekend, with authorities later digging in his backyard. It is unclear if anything was found. The search is expected to continue for another two or three days, with the attic and garage still to be searched. Investigators are also considering conducting technical work in the backyard to determine if anything was buried there. Heuermann has been charged with the murder of three women and is the prime suspect in the disappearance and killing of a fourth woman.
