Pennsylvania Inmate Michael Burham Captured After Week-Long Escape

A 34-year-old homicide suspect, Michael Charles Burham, who escaped from a Pennsylvania jail on July 6, was captured after being discovered by a homeowner in his backyard. The homeowner called authorities after encountering Burham, who claimed to be camping. A search involving multiple law enforcement agencies ensued, and Burham was tracked and captured a couple of hours later. He was being held on arson and burglary charges and is a suspect in a homicide investigation. Burham is described as a self-taught survivalist with military experience.
