"Newton Man Richard Hanson Held Without Bail for Allegedly Beating Wife to Death in Front of Children"

Richard Hanson, a man from Newton, Massachusetts, has been held without bail after being accused of brutally beating his wife to death in front of their children. The incident occurred just two days after his wife had filed a restraining order against him. Police received two 911 calls, one from a child in the house and another from a friend of the victim, both reporting the violent attack. When police arrived, they found Richard Hanson covered in blood and his wife unconscious with severe injuries. She was rushed to the hospital but later died. The Department of Children and Families has taken custody of the children. Hanson is facing charges of murder and other offenses and is due back in court in August.
